Monty

Updated: Jan 22

Welcome to my world. My story will go back over more than a century but today it starts with Monty, our beloved, rambunctious Seal point Siamese. He died last night. Snake bite to his back foot. I instinctively knew when our vet called thismorning that the news would not be good. Monty wasn't well over the weekend and exhibited reclusive behaviour. As Sunday came to an end we (my husband David and I) knew he must see a vet asap. I took him to the vet Monday and he stayed overnight. He was very dehydrated and lethargic. I was told to call the vet 9am the next morning, however, John beat me to it. I took the news as if it was about someone else's cat, very matter of factly, which I thought odd at the time. During my 63 years I have learnt to block emotions in order to survive. We must survive and conquer what the world throws at us using our indomitable will; but sometimes, as in the loss of someone or something we very much love, it can be so damn hard! A rude reminder that this world of duality and relativity does not want us to become too comfortable!

I missed my usual morning meditation preferring to talk to God from the depths of my heart; He/She is my most dearest and trusted friend.
