Hayley (part 1)

The youngest twin, now 33yo, has flown home to stay until her life gets back on track. Homeless and broke we were more than happy to help.  One day she will realise, I hope, that decisions she made since 2020 have resulted in this humiliating state of affairs.

When Hayley was a babe I strapped her to me while doing chores.  She needed reassurance and constant contact. I planned to nurse her longer than Sarah though unfortunately Sarah was needing my attention at the same time and I had to cease the close bonding of one to one breast feeding.

During the next six years it was evident that Hayley was different. One friend suggested she might be autistic. I ignored her comment, sadly, and Hayley went through all her schooling keeping close to her twin sister who made friends easily. I thought this was great, problem solved.  I did give her one to one teaching after school with reading and comprehension. This helped.

During year 11 David did the application online for Woolworths and she was accepted within a few weeks. Yr11 would be a complete waste of time for her as the academic side of things she just couldn’t do. So in May she began full-time work. In December of that same year we received her Yr 11 report stating she had passed all her subjects! Wow! The school system has gone to pots, but this takes the cake!

Hayley had a Holden Commodore her father, Simon got her while she was living with a boyfriend in Belmont. The funny thing about Clint was he had no modular voice. Just one volume, 9/10. He worked as a butcher in the same Belmont store as Hayley.

Hayley was a bit of a wild driver and at 19yo I accompanied her to the Perth District Court as she had been booked with dangerous driving, speeding down Welshpool Rd near Belmont at double the speed limit! That being 120km/hr. She was convicted under Hoon Law. The judge made a real show of the seriousness of her case and I was impressed at his theatrical effort.

Hayley worked 7 yr at various Woolworths stores and very proudly paid for her new car, a yellow Toyota Yaris. She chose yellow because I told her it was the safest car on the road.
