Christmas Day

Dear readers ,

We started Christmas Eve with Emily joining us for roast lamb and veggies followed by playing charades.David went to bed early (as usual), and Emily organised the game. Haven’t played charades for years and it was such fun! We each wrote down 4 movies/TV episodes on a piece of paper, folded it and put them in a bowl. The most difficult one for me was Gladiator. Looking forward to playing this game again. 🤪😀  It was past midnight before we all went to bed, so we were up early Christmas Day 😂😆

David and I walked around the block at 6 am before the heat set in. It was nice to greet the horses and wish them a happy Christmas. Golden greeted me with a knicker and a love, Minnie Molly got a cuddle, and Jack was wondering what all the fuss was about. Hayley was up early and took herself for a walk around the block too.

Christmas Day will reach 40°C. 🥵 thankfully, we have refrigerated and evaporative air conditioning. Both will be in use!

Can be difficult to get us all together! Sarah is in Broome,

David’s sister Kate is working and Diane is spending Christmas lunch with us. Susan is spending time with her fairly large family in Manjimup.

After breakfast, we opened presents before Emily had to leave at 10 am. We will see Michael & Em tomorrow.

Good news! 🤩💕

Am making a commitment to finish The Munroe’s blog in 2024. Having started, I soon realised the discipline of writing on a regular basis! We are goalsetting creatures so it will be one of my New Year’s goal. Really happy that my prime goals were achieved this year. 👍😊 Yeh!

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas time, and a very happy and prosperous New Year for 2024. Take care and God bless.
