Welcome to my blog where I share my stories and experiences. Instead of writing a book, I chose to create a blog to reach a wider audience and avoid the limitations of publishers. This is the story of the Munroe family, an iconic Australian family with a famous name. They are mischievous, occasionally break the law, troubled, courageous, amazing, hardworking, and downright funny.

I'll take you back over 100 years to explore the history of my grandparents, then delve into the tales of my parents, and bring you up to the present day. I'll entertain you with a blend of history and the present, side by side.

Why am I telling this story? Firstly, for my nieces and nephew in the eastern states who lost their mother to early onset dementia or Alzheimer's. They know little about her childhood or her life before having kids. Secondly, for you, the public. It's a fantastic tale!

In the past, before smartphones and TVs, families would gather around the kitchen table to share stories. The Munroe family often did this. Over the past 20 years, I've collected stories from both of my parents before they passed away. While I burned my diary spanning ten tumultuous years of my middle life, the details etched in my brain from intense emotions remain.
